Module 1
In module 1 I'll take you on a journey to the mind of a mastering engineer. How we think, how we see and hear things. We'll also cover the things you have to know before you start your session and what information you should get from the artists you'll be working with.
This is a very important module, as the thinking behind mastering is completely different from any other post-production stage.
Module 2
In the second module, I'll walk you through the pillar of great sounding masters - the mastering chain.
A mastering chain is the backbone of every mastering engineer. The execution plan and the roadmap to great sounding masters.
I'll teach you exactly what goes where within the chain and how certain processes correspond with each other during the mastering.
I'll also explain the DAW (digital audio workstation) and the importance of using reference tracks.
Module 3
Module 3 is all about practice. Together, we'll master songs, and I'll explain each and every detail of the mastering process. The first song we'll master together is divided into 6 parts.
Each part represents the mastering chain. Each part has its own rules. Each part is connected with the previous and the next part. This is my personal mastering blueprint I've been using for years. This is the process where I'll teach you how to get the great sound. The big and powerful masters everyone wants.
Further, in this module we'll master more songs together, as well as diving into mastering an album and tactics behind loudness.
Module 4
Streaming, CD and vinyl. This is what you'll learn in this module. Creation of masters ready for any streaming service. Mastering for CD and the nuances of mastering for vinyl.
I'm even giving you a separate course on mastering for vinyl, so you can get the best and most in-depth information on it. Once you complete this module, mastering for streaming, vinyl or CD will be like a natural thing to you.
Module 5
This module is all about getting your house in order. I'll show you exactly how to deliver different formats of masters to your clients, how to manage your clients list, and how to keep everything you do accessible and easy to find. I'm even sharing with you my personal Client Info List, which you can download and use with your clients.
